It’s spring time. Is it spring time? Who’d know with all this snowing that’s going down in the last few days. All I know is, that I’m still stuck with my photo projects. That I’m getting restless. I went through my archives again. And I found a photo that reflects my mood perfectly.

I know exactly how you feel! Here in NY its still really cold, trees bare, and grass half dead… but I’m sure it won’t take much longer for it all to happen.

So this photo has a lot of contrast between shadows and highlights… do you think that adds on to your style of photography? I am trying to figure out my preference of the balance between the two myself… and its hard! Let me know if you have any advice please :)

DICKY: thumbup, za idejo. Res ena dobra stran tega ja :P .

Chikara: I really don’t know if boosting contrast between shadows and highlights adds to my style. It’s just the way I like it, like for instance, I mostly do min dof. So I guess those characteristics does make my style recognizable. People usually can tell which photo is my (I got a lot of comments regarding my magazine covers, a lot of people immediately recognised my style).

So I really think it’s up to you to decide. Personally I hate being average or better said, I like my photos to stick out of the bunch, so I don’t use standard DOF, flat lighting and normal contrast levels.
